A Passion for Smiles
My profession allows me to make positive changes to the oral health of my patients. I am proud to call these members of our community my friends. I look forward to providing them with gentle dental care and interacting with my patients outside of the dental office. I love that they trust me to improve their dental health, smiles and overall well-being.
What I like most about being an orthodontist is the privilege of meeting interesting people every day. My patients are fascinating people and I love when theyshare their stories and lives with my team and me. I learn from my patients, and enjoy the friendships that grow between us.
Before becoming an orthodontist, I practiced as a general dentist for more than 12 years. I feel fulfilled when I am able to use my knowledge and skills to relieve pain, restore a patient’s ability to chew comfortably, and develop healthy and beautiful smiles. Studying for an additional three years to achieve my master’s degree in orthodontics was well worth it, as it allows me to do what I really love. — Dr. Dong-Phung Van
